- Frat Brothers Reach Out to Autistic Teens
Rutgers University student Matt Cortland speaks after being honored by NJ First Lady Mary Pat Christie for his autism awareness activities and for initiating a program BrosUniteD (BUD), which mentors teenage boys (ages 13-19) with autism. The nine week spring BUD program provided the teenagers a chance to hang out and bond with the Theta Delta Chi brothers. Cortland, named New Jersey Hero of the Month for April, started the BUD group in December 2009.
